About
Borough was commissioned by BBC Drama to write and develop this single drama telling the story of British photography student, Tom Hurndall, who died nine months after being shot in the head by an Israeli soldier in Rafah in the Gaza strip in April 2003. Tom had been a volunteer working with an activist organisation known as the International Solidarity Movement. During the research period we had the privilege of reading Tom’s diaries and meeting and interviewing his parents, sister and friends. Five years on Channel 4 broadcast a successful drama on the same subject written by Simon Block and directed by Rowan Joffe.
A Borough Films development for BBC drama in association with World Productions.
